NAC 2026 — Rules & Important Information
Please read the registration rules and tournament regulations carefully.
Registration Rules
- Registration is closed for the Regular Category. We have 8 teams in Regular Category. For 35+, registration is open till Monday 29th June 11:59 PM EST.
- Each individual player must also register for NAC 2026 and pay a $15 player registration fee. This covers ID processing, website administration, and related costs.
- IDs will be strictly enforced. A referee or tournament official may request an ID at any time. Players without a valid NAC ID will not be allowed to play.
- All the players must registered for NAC 2026 and pay the $15 player registration fee to be eligible to play in the tournament.
- All players must registered by July 1st Wednesday 5pm EST before the tie-sheet draw.
- Players need to register through nacconvention.org from this Register page.
Player Eligibility & ID Policy
- Teams should consist primarily of players of Nepalese origin.
- As an exception, teams may include up to 3 Tibetan players.
- If tournament officials have any doubt about a player's eligibility, the team must provide proof of Nepali origin for that player.
Tournament Schedule (Open Category)
- It's a 11v11 format. Total Number of players: 27.
- Players list should be provided by June 30th Tuesday 11:59 PM EST. Once player registration is closed, no changes can be made.
- There are 8 teams and will be divided into two groups of 4 teams each
- Group stage games: Each team will play three group-stage matches, two on Friday, July 3 (one in morning and the other in evening) and 3rd game of group stage on Saturday morning, July 4.
- Top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.
- If the teams has equal points, head to head comes 1st, then Goal Differnce and then Yellow/Red Cards
- Semifinals: Saturday evening, July 4.
- Final: Sunday morning, July 5.
- The Tie-sheet draw will be held on Wednesday evening, July 1st.
- Tie-sheet can be based upon seeding or random draw. Organizer will finalize the draw.
Tournament Schedule (35+ Category)
- It's a 8v8 format. Total Number of players: 14.
- Players list should be provided by June 30th Tuesday 11:59 PM EST. Once player registration is closed, no changes can be made.
- Group stage games, Quarterfinals, Semifinals will be played on Saturday, July 4.
- Final: Sunday morning before Open Category Final, July 5.
- The Tie-sheet draw will be held on Wednesday evening, July 1st.
- Tie-sheet can be based upon seeding or random draw. Organizer will finalize the draw.
Match Rules & Conduct
- If both teams have similar jersey colors, the team that registered later is required to change jerseys.
- Teams must arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled kickoff time.
- A no-show will be recorded as a 0-3 forfeit.
- Any violent conduct or fights will result in immediate dismissal of the offending player(s) or team.
- The referee's decision on the field is final; referees may consult with linesmen and adjust decisions as needed. Referees can also take suggestions from the Organizer.
- The tournament organizer retains final authority on matters of administration and discipline.
- Two yellow cards in a match will result in a red card and ejection from the game. A player receiving a red card because of two yellow cards, can play next game.
- A player with a red card will not be allowed to participate in the next match.
- Player must use a shin guard at all times during matches. Failure to do so will result in a yellow card.
